What is Ayurveda ?
Indian traditional medicine, Ayurveda, originated more than 5,000 years ago.
Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term composed of the words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). As a result, Ayurveda translates to “knowledge of life”
Based on the principle that diseases are a result of an imbalance or stress in a person’s consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies in order to regain a balance between the mind, body, spirit, and the environment.
Treatment in Ayurveda starts with an internal cleansing process, followed by satvic diet, herbal remedies, massages, yoga, and meditation.
